Discovery plus raises subscription prices following Skydance deal closure

Discovery plus has announced price increases across its subscription tiers, according to The Wrap. The cost of the ad-supported subscription tier is rising by 1 dollar per month. The price of the ad-free tier is increasing by 2 dollars per month. [3]

The price adjustment took effect one week after the closing of the 110 billion dollar Paramount and Warner Bros merger, according to The Wrap. However, the outlet reported that the price changes were already planned before the transaction closed under the Skydance umbrella of brands. [3]

The platform continues to host unscripted and lifestyle programming franchises including 90 Day Fiance, Sister Wives, Ghost Adventures, Expedition Unknown, and Deadliest Catch, as well as content from HGTV and the Food Network, according to The Wrap. [3]
