Streaming service Spotify uploaded Irish language lyrics for a Welsh language version of the song Jolene, BBC News reported. The track is the second posthumous release from Dolly Parton, who died on August 25. Spotify removed the incorrect Irish lyrics after BBC News approached the platform for comment. [1][2]

The track was recorded prior to Parton's death and features Welsh singer-songwriter Bronwen Lewis alongside Parton's niece, Jada Star. The collaboration includes vocals in both English and Welsh. BBC News reported that it asked Spotify when the single was originally uploaded and when the lyric error was first noticed. [1]

AOL.com separately reported that Parton was also featured posthumously on a cover of Jolene by the rock band Bad Wolves. Spotify was founded in April 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon in Stockholm, Sweden. [3][5][7]
