Apple announced on its official Chinese newsroom website that it will launch select Apple Intelligence features in China through the iOS 27.3 update, as reported by The Verge and MacRumors. The initial rollout will begin with a developer beta scheduled for release on November 4, 2026, followed by a full public release planned for December. 9to5Mac also noted that Apple took the step of publicly confirming the release window for its upcoming developer beta as part of the market announcement. According to MacRumors and The Verge, the upcoming release will include features such as Notification Summaries, Visual Intelligence, real-time translation tools, and Writing Tools. MacRumors added that the update will also support Genmoji, Clean Up, Priority Notifications, and Live Translation through AirPods. However, both outlets noted that certain capabilities will not be included in this rollout, specifically the new Siri AI features and Image Playground. [1][3]

MacRumors reported that these features will initially be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. Apple Intelligence relies on a combination of on-device processing and server infrastructure, requiring supported hardware powered by custom Apple silicon chips to execute its generative AI and automated tools. The deployment comes after regulatory discussions in the regional market. According to 9to5Mac, reporting from Reuters indicated in mid-July that Apple Intelligence cleared key regulatory hurdles in China following multiple delays and negotiations with local regulators. [2]
