The news comes after initial reports that Lea Michele is in talks to reprise her role as Rachel Berry for the revival, according to Deadline, IMDb, and Variety. As FTMQ Creators reported earlier, original creator Ryan Murphy is returning to lead the revived series and has contacted approximately 10 original cast members. The original series aired for six seasons and 121 episodes from 2009 to 2015. [1][4][6][10]
Other former cast members have publicly addressed the upcoming series. Speaking on the LadyGang podcast, fourth season cast member Becca Tobin stated that there is no guarantee she will be invited back and confirmed she is waiting to hear from Ryan Murphy, The Wrap and Yahoo reported. [2][3]
Before joining the original series, Morris competed on So You Think You Can Dance in 2006 and worked as a backup dancer for Beyoncé. Overstreet was a main cast member on Glee and later starred in the comedy series Acapulco. [7][9]
