Intel has officially confirmed that its Razor Lake-AX processor will launch in 2028, Digital Trends, eTeknix, Notebookcheck, and Wccftech all report. The announced chip is designed to deliver approximately 700 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of artificial intelligence computing power. Digital Trends and Wccftech both report that the hardware targets robotics and future humanoid machines. [1][3][4][5]
Intel executive Cho Min-sung presented the processor roadmap at the Semiconductors Powering Humanoids conference in South Korea on October 16, according to Digital Trends. Wccftech added that an Intel senior vice president confirmed the 2028 timeline. The processor delivers 3.88 times the AI compute performance of Intel's previous Panther Lake architecture, according to Wccftech. [1][5]
The Panther Lake mobile processor line was previously launched in January 2026. Intel Corporation is an American multinational technology firm headquartered in Santa Clara, California. As FTMQ Creators reported earlier, Intel chips have also been integrated into recent Googlebook hardware models launched in October 2026. [6][8][9]
Digital Trends reported that the official announcement follows months of leaks regarding the processor. The outlet noted that the high-performance chip positions Intel to compete directly against AMD in the advanced artificial intelligence and robotics computing market. [1]
