Morning Brew Inc. has acquired Express Checkout, a creator-led media brand covering the consumer packaged goods industry, Adweek reported. The publisher is owned by media group Axel Springer. [2]

Morning Brew CEO Robert Dippell confirmed that the all-cash transaction grants Morning Brew 100 percent ownership of Express Checkout's intellectual property. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed by the involved parties, according to Adweek. [2]

As part of the deal, Express Checkout co-founders Nate Rosen and Jenna Movsowitz will join Morning Brew as full-time employees, Adweek reported. [2]

The transaction comes as Morning Brew reports that its creator-focused monetization has increased by more than 50 percent year over year. The company stated that it plans to pursue additional acquisitions of this nature in the future, according to Adweek. [2]
