Meta has updated its Muse artificial intelligence agent to include speaking capabilities voice queries and custom app experiences. Social Media Today, TechCrunch, and Mashable report that the company has added voice support to Muse, allowing users to select a voice for their personal agent and interact through spoken queries. The Verge, Digital Trends, and TechCrunch also report that Meta introduced a feature called spaces, which lets users build customized app-like mini experiences within the Muse app by describing their ideas. [1][2][3][4][5][7]

The new spaces feature operates as an app within an app, creating tools such as a shopping hub, school dashboard, music tracker, or trivia game. According to the Verge and Digital Trends, users do not need to code to build these spaces. The Verge reported that if a user connects external applications such as Gmail, Google Calendar, OpenTable, or Notion, the assistant will continuously pull relevant data into the space. [2][3]

For voice interactions, TechCrunch reported that Meta made its Muse Voice feature available to all users in the United States. The capability allows users to call and video chat with an animated avatar. TechCrunch added that the video chat feature relies on Meta Realtime Avatar and Meta Realtime Voice technologies, which were first introduced at Meta's Connect developer conference in September. [4]

Meta launched its Muse assistant on September 8, 2026, and released its Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full models on October 12, 2026, as FTMQ Creators reported earlier. Meta Platforms is headquartered in Menlo Park, California, and operates services including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Threads. Social Media Today noted that Meta designed the voice functionality to help users talk through ideas and plan work-related projects. [1][9][10][11]
