YouTube has announced a wider rollout for its Ask YouTube conversational artificial intelligence search tool across the United States, Digital Trends reported. The feature is now available to United States users on mobile devices, web interfaces, and smart televisions. Mobile availability is the latest addition to the service. [1]

The tool allows users to enter full questions or describe what they are looking for, rather than entering basic keywords into the search bar, according to Digital Trends. Separately, Search Engine Journal reported that YouTube plans to test the Ask YouTube tool inside its Shorts video player. [1][2]

YouTube is an American video sharing platform owned by Google and headquartered in San Bruno, California. The platform reached more than 2.7 billion monthly active users in January 2024, who watched more than one billion hours of video daily. [3]
