Pornhub has launched a campaign encouraging creators to upload safe-for-work videos to its platform, Tubefilter reported. The initiative invites creators to share all types of non-explicit videos that will be hosted alongside the site's existing pornographic content. [1]

To promote the initiative, the site released a campaign video featuring adult content actress Natassia Dreams, according to Tubefilter. In the video, a mother fixes a flat tire after learning the skill from educational content uploaded by Dreams, illustrating the platform's push into instructional and general content. [1]

The platform is owned by the parent company Aylo, which was formerly known as MindGeek, Tubefilter reported. Pornhub was originally founded in Montreal, Canada, on May 25, 2007, by Concordia University students including Matt Keezer, Stephane Manos, and Ouissam Youssef, who launched it as a free video-sharing tube site inspired by YouTube. [1][3]

The move tests whether a site built on adult media can successfully host mainstream video content, Tubefilter noted. Tubefilter reported that creators who upload safe-for-work content through the campaign will be eligible to receive payment for their contributions. [1]
