Warner Bros International Television Production has been moved under the Skydance TV Studios banner, Deadline and Variety reported on October 29. According to a memo sent by JB Perrette, co-chair and chief business officer of Skydance TV and Skydance Direct-to-Consumer, Warner Bros Television Group chief Channing Dungey will oversee the unit. The division, which is run by President Ronald Goes, operates roughly 20 international production companies that create local adaptations of television formats such as The Bachelor. [1][3]
The restructuring follows executive leadership changes across the combined business, Variety reported. JB Perrette unveiled the new organizational structure and announced the departure of several executives, including Dan Barnes and Michael Bishara. The shift reorganizes television production units across the corporate entity following recent major corporate realignments. [3]
The international division was formed in 2009 to produce local adaptations of Warner Bros formats and original programming outside the United States. It expanded its reach by acquiring United Kingdom producer Shed Media, Netherlands-based BlazHoffski Holding B.V., and Eyeworks in a 270 million dollar deal in 2014. As FTMQ Creators reported earlier, Channing Dungey previously expanded her role to oversee Paramount cable networks, including MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, and BET, following the merger of Paramount Global and Warner Bros Discovery into Skydance. [5][7]
Separately, Warner Bros is running an ad campaign for its upcoming Cat in the Hat movie across Amazon platforms, Mobile Marketer reported. The promotion includes an interactive mobile game, an Alexa integration, and ad placements across Twitch, Prime Video, and IMDb. [2]
