Reddit announced on Wednesday that it is introducing two new homepage feed options called For You and Following. CNET, Digital Trends, TechCrunch, and The Verge all reported that the new homepage structure is rolling out to users worldwide over the next few weeks. Mashable noted that the layout relies on an algorithmic feed style. [1][2][3][4][5]
The For You feed combines content from subreddits a user has joined with algorithmic recommendations based on individual interests, according to TechCrunch and The Verge. Digital Trends and CNET reported that the Following tab is made up exclusively of posts from subreddits that the user has already joined. [1][2][3][4]
CNET reported that the update follows previous platform decisions to remove RSS feeds and restrict access to the classic Old Reddit desktop interface. Registered users on the platform submit links, text posts, images, and videos, which community members then vote up or down. [1][10][11]
As FTMQ Creators reported earlier, Reddit generated $2.2 billion in annual revenue in 2025. CNET and Digital Trends reported that the global rollout of the new homepage tabs will continue over the next few weeks. [1][2][12]
