Instagram offers YouTube creators up to $500,000 for long video posts

Instagram is targeting video creators on rival platform YouTube by offering deal payments of up to $500,000 to post longer video content on its service.

Instagram is offering selected content creators payments of up to $500,000 to publish longer videos on its platform. Brand Spur reported that the payouts range from $50,000 to six-figure sums. According to Business Insider, Instagram is attempting to recruit YouTube creators with these financial offers. [1][7]

The payments are connected to Instagram's long-form video feature, known as Features. Brand Spur reported that the financial arrangements do not require participants to upload content exclusively to Instagram. Selected creators are encouraged to take existing extended videos originally produced for YouTube and share those same posts on Instagram. [1]

Instagram is a Meta-operated video and photo sharing network. As FTMQ Creators reported earlier, Meta noted over three billion monthly active users on Instagram in September 2025, and its long-form Features format accepts video uploads up to 90 minutes long. [11][14]

The monetization deals are intended to increase Instagram's competitive position against YouTube for online creators and viewers. Brand Spur reported that Meta continues to expand its video options to challenge established video platforms. [1]
