YouTube is testing a new policy that allows selected creators to protect their channels from permanent termination by deleting content that violates platform rules, Dexerto reported. The feature introduces a 30-day window for eligible channel owners to resolve policy issues before account access is permanently revoked. YouTube announced the trial program on October 29, 2026. [1]

The experiment specifically targets channels that face immediate account termination because of certain spam policy violations, according to Dexerto. Affected creators will be offered multiple options during the 30-day period to resolve the violation rather than losing their accounts entirely. [1]

Google purchased YouTube in November 2006 for 1.65 billion dollars in stock. The video platform maintains over 2.7 billion monthly active users, with creators uploading more than 500 hours of video content every minute. [3]
